Kathleen Prince is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management and federal healthcare policy. With a strong background spanning over a decade, Kathleen has specialized in navigating the complexities of Medicaid policy and service delivery, focusing on data analytics, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency.

Currently serving as a Senior Medicaid Policy Strategist at A1M Solutions, Kathleen plays a pivotal role in the Data and Systems Group within the Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services (CMCS). In this capacity, Kathleen collaborates across departments and with external contractors to ensure alignment with federal policies, leveraging over 9 years of industry expertise.

Previously, at MITRE from 2021 to 2024, Kathleen excelled as the Project Management Officer for the Advancing Medicaid Information Technology project, a $13 million annual contract aimed at modernizing state Medicaid Enterprise Systems (MES). Here, Kathleen led diverse teams, managing up to 25 individuals, and spearheaded initiatives that significantly enhanced team processes and project outcomes. Notable achievements in this role included developing a streamlined approach to state metric submissions, resulting in the successful integration of over 300 state data files into a new database within a remarkably short timeframe.

Prior to MITRE, Kathleen worked at IBM Watson Health as a Senior Business Analyst, supporting various government health and human services initiatives. During this time, key responsibilities included managing complex projects, conducting national webinars, providing technical assistance to states, and overseeing project operations. Her contributions were instrumental in enhancing project efficiencies and implementing innovative solutions across multiple federal programs.

Kathleen holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology and a graduate certificate in data analytics and health informatics, both from George Mason University. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech in 2012.
